Welcome to The Community Diabetes Education Program of Ottawa
The Community Diabetes Education Program of Ottawa (CDEPO) provides individual and group programming to adults with type 2 Diabetes and Prediabetes to help them manage this chronic disease, live healthy and avoid complications. A Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Dietitian(RD) work as a team to provide care. Our program has a behavioural focus to promote self-care behaviours that can help people achieve targets for staying healthy. We also work collaboratively with Primary Care Providers and can provide support and recommendations on treatment plans as needed.
We are one of the largest community diabetes education programs in the province, providing services at 9 different locations across Ottawa with teams based out of Community Health Centres and Community Resource Centres.
CDEPO is part of a network of diabetes education programs in Ottawa.
